The Temple of Isis and the surrounding structures were built during the late Ptolemaic and early Roman periods (Egypt became part of the Roman Empire in 30 BC). The photograph is signed, captioned and dated in the negative, 'F Bedford Philae'. The number in the Day & Son series is 19.
