In the foreground, a man sits on rocks amongst the ruins and under-growth. Behind him stands the shadowy figure of a man who appears to be wearing a tricorn hat. In the background is a wall with smaller Romanesque arches on two levels.
The monastery was built during the 15th century in the Extremadura region of SpainProvenance
