Pair of upright bulbous pedestals of oak veneered with kingwood and fitted with marquetry panels of geometric design of rosewood, ebony and gilt bronze mounts. Beneath gilt bronze projecting cornice are fitted masks of Diana with oak branches and Apollo with a laurel garland. Four corners of body fitted with gilt bronze acanthus and scroll mounts and the sides with gilt bronze flowers. Gilt bronze trophies to incurved front section, consisting of musical instruments and instruments of the arts. Base set with bands of gilt bronze Vitruvian scrolls and the whole supported on four gilt bronze lions paw feet. The back of each pedestal is fitted with a door.
