Photograph of the Valley of the Cemetery. In the foreground there is a series of dilapidated buildings with several piles of cannonballs to the right. There is a harbour behind with ruined buildings around the edges and on the hillside behind. Robertson photographed the landscape around Balaklava and Sevastopol both before and after the Russians retreated.
