Photograph of a group of soldiers gathered around a seated man wearing civilian clothes. He is sitting with the back of the chair in front of him and is holding a stick in his right hand. The men are mostly standing with some sitting and five men reclining on the ground, one reading a newspaper. They are wearing a mixture of military uniforms and several are smoking pipes. There is a stone building behind them to the right. Crack marks can be seen in the lower right hand corner, where the glass negative was damaged.
