Photograph of 3rd Scots Guards standing in a line behind three muskets positioned on tripods. Two Guards crouch down in front of the muskets on tripods. A number of Guards look towards the camera and a selection of Guards hold rifles, placing the end on the ground. Towards the left, one Guard holds a musket up to his face as if to shoot. A large building dominates the background. The Guards are partaking in musketry instruction for a wartime draft. The photograph was taken at the Wellington Barracks.
