Carte-de-visite photograph of Britannia Bridge in Bangor, Anglesey.
After the 1862 tour, Bedford issued his cartes-de-visite with the statement, 'Photographer to H.R.H. the Prince of Wales'. This did not imply an official role for Bedford, but merely reminded the photographer's potential clients of his royal associations. Bedford later used his royal connections to ask the Prince of Wales if he could help in finding a position for one of his sons in the Civil Service.Provenance
