Carving of a girl's head and shoulders in lignum vitae, on a stepped plinth. Lignum vitae is the national flower of Jamaica and its wood is used widely on the island for construction and carving.

Presented to Queen Elizabeth II by Joan Thomas Edwards, Deputy High Commissioner, on behalf of the Most Hon. Sir Patrick Allen, Governor General of Jamaica, Jamaican High Commission, on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee, 2012.
Made at the Mighty Gully Youth Project, a carving school established in Old Harbour, Jamaica, by the internationally-renowned Jamaican wood sculptor, Lancelot Bryan, in 1982. -
