The Grand Vestibule, Windsor Castle. Suits and pieces of armour are mounted on the walls and a cannon and an animal sculpture is on the floor to right. In front of the arch on the rear wall is Sir Edgar Boehm's statue of Queen Victoria (RCIN 35336). On either sides are two terracotta busts of Elizabeth of York (RCIN 21667) and Henry V by Rysbrack (destroyed in accident in 1905) on cabinets.
This photograph was taken before the renovations in 1887 for Queen Victoria's Golden Jubilee, when Gothic-style cabinets were built and a canopy created for the Boehm sculpture of Queen Victoria. -
