Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of James Turner, Head Keeper at Windsor. Turner stands facing three-quarters to the right and wears a livery and a top hat. He holds a pony's bridle with one hand and holds a riding crop in his other hand. A fence stands on the left of the picture with open gate.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. At least two prints from this negative exist in the Collection, RCINs 2509054 and 2906797.Provenance
