Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of four Ghillies, featuring (l-r): Donald Stewart (1827-1909) (keeper); Charles Duncan (1826-1904); T. Grant (Head Keeper) and Peter Farquharson (d. 1874) (Keeper). The ghillies stand in a clearing surrounded by trees. A dog sits on the ground beside on the left.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2160064.Provenance
