Glass plate negative of a full length portrait of John Brown standing with Turnby, one of Queen Victoria's terrier dogs. Dressed in Highland attire, the sitter is standing next to the table where Turnby is posed.
The glass plate negative has been photographed showing the coated side and therefore the image appears laterally reversed. A print from this negative exists in the Collection, RCIN 2105217.Provenance
