Photograph of the painting 'The Meeting of Jacob and Rachel' by William Dyce (1806-64). The painting depicts a man, Jacob, and a woman, Rachel, shown in three-quarter length. The man extends his left arm and places it around the woman's neck. He holds her right hand with his left hand, and holds it against his chest. There is a herd of sheep in the background.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was in the collection of W. Bower. The painting is now held by the Leicester Arts and Museums Service.
