Photograph of a painting of a man and a woman by Rembrandt (1606-69). The male figure, on the left, stands facing the viewer. The woman on the right is seated, facing three-quarters to the left. Part of an identification number can be seen in the lower left corner.
At the time of the photograph, the painting was in the collection of H. T. Hope. The last known location of the painting was the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston, where it was stolen in 1990.Provenance
