A slender black lacquered beech armchair with wicker seat. On round in section legs, back uprights with a deep overhanging back top splat. Flat arms, front rail and round section side rails.
Provenance
Supplied by Sir Hugh Casson for the decorative scheme of the Casson Suite in 1959-60. This chair design won the Compasso d'Oro in 1956 and was covered by trademark in 1958. The design with arms was produced in a limited edition of thirty; more were produced without.
