A gold cup, cover and saucer chased with lozenge panelling containing floral decoration. The lid has a bud finial in the form of a coniferous fruit. This vessel perhaps used to store traditional solid perfume called attar, which was used as part of courtly ceremonies to welcome visitors.

Presented to Edward VII, when Prince of Wales, during his tour of India in 1875-76.
