Working for us

Find out about our huge range of roles and what it's like working for Royal Collection Trust

Maryam, Exhibitions Project Co-ordinator

Our team project-manages all Royal Collection Trust exhibitions in London, Windsor and Edinburgh, as well as our touring exhibitions at partner museums and galleries throughout the UK. We work with curators and other colleagues across the organisation on the 'look and feel' and layout of each exhibition, and commission specialists to work with us on design, build, interpretation and the transportation of works of art across the country.

There is no such thing as an average day. Each exhibition is unique and requires a new approach. Our work is extremely varied, which keeps the job challenging and fresh, and brings us into regular contact with all sections of Royal Collection Trust – Press, Marketing, Publishing and Learning, to name just a few. One day we might be at our desks reviewing installation layouts on screen, on another we could be hanging drawings by Leonardo da Vinci or overseeing the lifting of a toy caravan by crane through a window of Buckingham Palace.

We work in a fast-paced environment, so have to be highly organised and able to manage many different projects at once. A keen eye for detail, creativity and a flexible, 'can-do' attitude are essential. We love working with and learning about one of the greatest art collections in the world and are proud that our exhibitions are enjoyed by hundreds of thousands of people each year.
