Working for us

Find out about our huge range of roles and what it's like working for Royal Collection Trust

Imogen, Content Editor

The Publishing section creates exhibition catalogues, academic titles, children's books, gift books and souvenir guides for the royal residences. Our work encompasses both print and digital formats – be that eBook, app or online – and we sell co-editions and foreign-language editions to publishers in the US, Europe and the Far East. We also produce text and film content for use on the Royal Collection Trust website and social media pages.

We are encouraged to work across platforms and to be involved in all aspects of the production of a publication, from first brief and meetings with curators, through editorial, design, colour proofing and choosing the paper and binding materials, to final printing. Having input at all of these stages is very rewarding.

It is a privilege to work with such incredible art and to view it up-close with enthusiastic and experienced curators. Colour proofing the Leonardo da Vinci: Anatomist catalogue against Leonardo's original drawings was a particular highlight for me.

Working on numerous projects at once, all at different stages of production, requires a great deal of adaptability, along with good attention to detail and the ability to multitask. You need to be able to hit the ground running, and time management is critical to ensure that all books are produced on schedule.
