Competition Terms and Conditions

Instagram competition terms and conditions 2023

  1. To enter, reply to the Royal Collection Trust ‘Win tickets to a festive exclusive guided tour at a royal residence’ Instagram post and complete the entry requirements listed in the social media post (Follow us, comment on the post with which one location you want tickets for #BuckinghamPalace #WindsorCastle #HolyroodPalace and tag a friend).
  2. Employees of Royal Collection Trust or the Royal Household and their immediate family are not eligible to enter.
  3. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  4. Failure to meet the eligibility requirements may result in forfeiture of the prize. The promoter reserves the right to reject entries that are offensive or not submitted by a human.
  5. There will be three pairs of tickets as prizes – one per royal residence (Buckingham Palace, Windsor Castle and the Palace of Holyroodhouse).
  6. One (1) winner for each royal residence, receiving up to two (2) tickets, will be picked at random for each of the three (3) Royal residences from all valid entries received for that residence before 23:59 (GMT) on 29 October 2023
  7. The winners will be tagged in a @RoyalCollectionTrust post on Instagram and asked to contact us via direct message to arrange the details of their prize.
  8. If the winners cannot be contacted or do not claim their prize within 48 hours of notification, Royal Collection Trust reserves the right to reallocate the prize by drawing a replacement winner from the remaining entries for the respective location's competition entries.
  9. Entrants must be over 18 years old.
  10. No entries on behalf of third parties will be accepted and each participant may only win one pair of tickets.
  11. The winner will receive two free tickets to an exclusive guided tour of a royal residence (excluding family-specific tours) to take place in winter 2023. The prize is valid for tours on selected dates at Buckingham Palace from 10 November 2023 to 5 February 2024, at the Palace of Holyroodhouse from 24 November to 30 December 2023 and at Windsor Castle from 4 to 29 December 2023.
  12. The winner is responsible for covering any travel or accommodation costs associated with the winner claiming this prize.
  13. The winner must give a selection of three dates in order of preference to claim their prize. All dates are subject to availability.
  14. The winner's name may also be published on Royal Collection Trust’s social media profiles, subject to the winner objecting to such publication to safeguard their right to privacy.
  15. Winners who attend the Tour must adhere to the terms of admission as outlined on the Royal Collection Trust website.
  16. As working royal palaces, all the royal residences are used frequently by the monarch and the Royal Family for state ceremonies and official entertaining, and the opening arrangements for the royal residences may change at short notice. In the event of a closure taking place at the residence on your proposed visit date, Royal Collection Trust reserve the right to cancel your tour, or, where possible, offer an alternative visit date.
  17. The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
