Abdullah Khan and his son

Abdullah Khan II (c.1534–98) was a sixteenth-century ruler of Bukhara in Uzbekistan and Abd al-Mumin Khan (d. 1598) his only son. Neither ever visited the Mughal court and these portraits, commissioned by Jahangir, are evidence of the Mughal emperor’s desire to collect visual records of his contemporaries.
